I will Go by Bike!

By BARAKA K. CHEDEGO

Today I have decided about this journey to rescue,
I afraid to shut my mouth up while situation is at due,
Toleration is the greatest gift of mind but I’m tired to be fool,
My plan is to go by bike and I won’t care about you.

By this idea of bike some may think I’m insane,
But to show how I mean, in this I won’t use plane,
I will ensure that people know what I claim,
Because having a just world have been my lifetime dream.

Natamani niongee Kiswahili ili na nyumbani wanielewe,
Amba nali nonje chigogo lunji wa kukaya wasechelele,
Mais l’affaire ci a bosium de l’union international,
Ce pour cela les francais mout permis de s’exprimer en englais.

Climate has touched gender issues in my city,
Now as I’m speaking Malaria is chewing Africa because of climate,
Trachoma is the song sung when water is scarce,
Skin cancer the son of Global Warming has got a chance.

Isimo seZulu sishintshile na kwaZulu- Natal,
Isimo sinzima kakhulu kwi ningizimu Africa,
But the police of the world act like they don’t see,
When I say is human forces they don’t agree.
Personally I don’t agree that East and West can’t get along,
I don’t agree that right is Wright and left is long,
If for people to understand it will need me to sing a song,
I will sing the beautiful one entitled “I will Go by Bike”

This is not only the issue of environment,
It touches gender, culture and even security,
Its an issue of economy, technology and even politics,
That’s what gives me a reason to speak instead of keeping quite.

I will repair my bike for this Paris road to speak my concern,
I won’t hesitate to share with my partners in COP 21,
If we will fail to maintain life in Earth living planet,
We will never manage in dead planet like Mars.
